"Our Franklin House event could not have been more perfect."
When one of our group members passed away this summer, we knew we wanted to find a way to help his family in a meaningful and lasting way. Sean and Jenny Finter asked if we would like to host a fundraiser at The Franklin House to raise college funds for his four young children -- we did not waste a second in saying yes, and our Franklin House event could not have been more perfect. The spaces are gracious but not cavernous. We were able to successfully stage a large event that included a silent auction, as well as a live band, a large hors d'oeuvres station, a cocktail bar and a beer and wine bar - all with plenty of room for people to move and mingle and enjoy themselves. The decor is elegantly neutral, which allowed us total freedom in dressing up the space for our evening event. The Finters have a beautiful vision for this lovely, historic building and we were incredibly fortunate to have been able to put it to good use on a warm summer's evening.

When planning our executive and senior leadership retreat, we wanted a venue that was different; we wanted an intimate setting with history, charm, convenience and above all we wanted it to be comfortable to ensure our group felt at ease while conducting our strategic planning. The staff at The Franklin House was extremely attentive to every last detail without interrupting us throughout our session. We utilized 3 different floors throughout the day, thus avoiding cabin fever and keeping the thoughts and ideas flowing. We ended our night in The Downie Bar with a catered dinner that was served on a beautifully ornate table allowing the group to reflect on the day in private and comfort. The Franklin House was memorable and is still talked about by my team – it is definitely how we will conduct our next strategic retreat."

"It could not have been a MORE perfect evening."
When I met Sean and Jenny Finter their warmth and hospitality was the first thing that struck me. Next was how beautiful and welcoming The Franklin House is.The Finters went above and beyond any hosts could have. They walked me through all of the available function spaces. There's the Attic which is a large bright room with a full kitchen where you can seat numerous for dinner or hold business meetings up there in comfort. The next space was the Downie Bar in the basement of 59 Franklin. This is a spacious but warm bar space with lots of room for a party or sit down dinners. The walls are brick and it is so cozy! However, I chose the middle, the main level of the home because I was looking for a cocktail party with buffet food available including a raw bar. There was plenty of space for a DJ, dancing and even several tables set up for people to sit and eat in a quieter room. The bar on this level was perfect. But even better, we were able to start our party in the Downie Bar with several signature cocktails. So as all of my guests arrived they were escorted to the basement area for a wonderful cocktail reception, with hors d'oeuvres passed. We then proceeded upstairs for the remainder of the party, food, cocktails and dancing.
The party was a fabulous success! The main level of the home provided a beautiful, warm, historic space with lots interesting spots for food, music, bars etc. Jenny helped me find the necessary vendors for every aspect of the party - An amazing florist, someone to stage and decorate, a DJ who was fantastic, and to a caterer who could provide the excellent food that I really wanted for the party. It could not have been a MORE perfect evening!!
It became very clear that Jenny and Sean are not just warm, inviting people, but savvy experts in the hospitality industry. They allowed me to have 80 of my closest family and friends to enjoy one of the most special nights of my life! I would recommend The Franklin House for a plethora of occasions from business meetings, retreats, to family gatherings, weddings and rehearsal dinners and just for plain, fabulous parties!
